puppy<\/b><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Alaskan Malamute is known as the \u00ab\u00a0snow locomotive\u00a0\u00bb. It&rsquo;s a breed that presents a few challenges, especially when they&rsquo;re young!<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To understand and manage your puppy&rsquo;s behavior, you must first understand the origins and nature of the breed.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Originally bred by the Inuit tribes of northwest Alaska (the Mahlemuts), the Malamute was developed by selecting the strongest dogs to produce a powerful, robust breed of dog capable of surviving and working in an extremely harsh environment. <\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These early Malamutes were used to hunt and to pull extremely heavy loads over long distances through the snow- and ice-covered wilderness. As such, they need the physical and mental attributes that these tasks require.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Inuit tribes held these dogs in high esteem and relied totally on their ability to work. There was no room for weak or sick dogs (who would have been killed by the rest of the pack), so only the hardiest dogs survived.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Malamute, as a breed, has endured thanks to the efforts of a few dedicated people, who fell in love with these wonderful dogs and strove to protect and preserve those characteristics that make them unique. The standard was then developed and Alaskan Malamutes were recognized and registered as a breed by the American Kennel Club in 1935.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Today&rsquo;s Malamute still has the characteristics of its ancestors. These dogs are very much oriented towards group or pack interaction, with a strong survival and hunting instinct, as well as an independent, dominant and sometimes strong-willed character. They are extremely intelligent and have incredible strength and stamina. They are also capable of unlimited loyalty and affection for their masters.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h1><b>When your puppy comes home<\/b><\/h1><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">*When your puppy joins his family, the stress of arriving in a new place can cause a little diarrhea. If this is the case, reduce the amount of kibble by half and try adding a little chicken or fish with a tablespoon of well-cooked rice for a few days. Then gradually return him to his original diet. If the diarrhea persists for more than a few days, or your puppy doesn&rsquo;t seem well at all, consult your veterinarian.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">*We strongly recommend that you prepare a special space for him as soon as possible when you bring him home (rug, basket, kennel, etc.). Some breeders recommend installing a cage (vari-kennel, fabric, metal&#8230;) in the house: we don&rsquo;t, unless the cage remains OPEN. This can make her feel safe and offer her a place of peace and quiet. It&rsquo;s also an opportunity to get used to this useful object for transport, for example.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The best way to get your puppy used to his space is to make sure you&rsquo;ve put a cushion or blanket, toys, a water bowl and a few treats nearby, and play with them to make the place more fun.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If it&rsquo;s a cage, when you&rsquo;ve finished playing with it, if it decides to stay inside, go away but leave the door open so it can come out freely. He wasn&rsquo;t born with a built-in guide to human expectations and rules!<\/b><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">*<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your puppy will probably howl when you go to bed after the first few nights. Don&rsquo;t be tempted to give in and comfort him. His howling is just a way of expressing his displeasure at being left out. Take comfort in the idea that if you&rsquo;ve got him settled, he&rsquo;s got water, a warm cushion, toys and is safe too. Let him cry, and after a few days he&rsquo;ll be happy to sleep peacefully in his own space.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h1><b>Deworming<\/b><\/h1><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><b>Your puppy will need to be wormed regularly.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> He was dewormed at 2-week intervals from the age of 3 weeks with Strong id, Drontal Pup and Milbactor . You should continue the protocol every month until he is 6 months old.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Any dewormer kills the worms inside the puppy when he takes the treatment, so after that, his deworming takes place every 3 to 6 months. It&rsquo;s important to use a good quality dewormer from your vet, as they are more effective.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It&rsquo;s not uncommon to see worms in the stool, but they&rsquo;re supposed to be dead. Heavy worm infestation in young puppies, left untreated, can lead to severe illness and, in extreme cases, death. We deworm our adult dogs alternately with Milbactor and Drontal Plus tablets.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you live in an environment with pigeons or poultry, ask your vet for advice on deworming against coccidia (coccidiosis).<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h1><b>Living with your Malamute<\/b><\/h1><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">*<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As previously stated, Malamutes are pack dogs, even if some people play on words and dispute this. It&rsquo;s simply that they haven&rsquo;t had the same opportunity as we have to observe the interactions of our malamute groups for over 30 years. You and your family must now become your Malamute&rsquo;s \u00ab\u00a0pack\u00a0\u00bb. Their position in your family group is very, very important to them. Many of the problems new owners encounter with their Malamute develop because they haven&rsquo;t established clear guidelines with their new puppy: you need to make it clear what is expected behavior and what is unacceptable behavior.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Malamute respects instructions and is content to know its position. But if you fail to establish this organization, your Malamute will do it for you! These are dogs who seek to have as many prerogatives as possible within the group &#8211; be it human or canine ;-). <\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Every Malamute has an instinct for opportunism towards the other members of the pack, and they will easily be tempted to take on the role of leader if they get the chance.<\/span><\/p><p><b>You can&rsquo;t let that happen.<\/b><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a Malamute owner, you must earn his respect from an early age and maintain firm, consistent guidelines, always with WELFARE and, above all, CLARITY. Your dog must UNDERSTAND what you expect.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Even if the pack order is established (even if they are adults), your Malamute may try at regular intervals to show demanding behavior. He only does this to make sure you&rsquo;re able to be the leader and control what&rsquo;s going on (which is exactly what he does with the other dogs in the pack, if you have any). Sometimes this behavior can be so subtle that the owner is unaware of it, and sometimes it&rsquo;s so explicit as to be comical.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Always be ready for his nonsense, and never back down once you&rsquo;ve made a request of your Malamute to which he hasn&rsquo;t responded. But always end your training on a positive note for your dog, once he&rsquo;s done what you asked. He&rsquo;ll quickly get the hang of it.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Malamute, happy and secure in its position in your home, is a wonderful companion, but don&rsquo;t forget&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;<\/span><\/p><p><b>If you let him get the better of you, he will!<\/b><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">*<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Malamutes can also have \u00ab\u00a0anti-social\u00a0\u00bb and annoying habits.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your Malamute could&#8230; :<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hunt and kill small wild animals and eat them in front of you.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stealing food (even opening the refrigerator door to do so).<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Often not coming back when he&rsquo;s no longer in front of you, feigning deafness or laughing in your face while he&rsquo;s running in the opposite direction to you.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jump at every opportunity into rivers, muddy marshes or the droppings of foxes or other weasels.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dig very large holes in your garden and everywhere else, even if he&rsquo;s only there for 10 minutes (beware if you&rsquo;re visiting friends).<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Climbing fences.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eat plants and flowers (mainly the ones you like best, rarely weeds).<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Not liking another dog, for no apparent reason.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8230;and all with a \u00ab\u00a0smile\u00a0\u00bb on their lips and a mischievous, innocent look on their faces!<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h1><b>Socialization, training and exercise<\/b><\/h1><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">*<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Socializing your Malamute with other dogs is essential. The breed is known to have a tendency to assert itself in front of other dogs, so socializing him early can help him learn correct behavior.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We usually keep our puppies until 10-12 weeks or even 15 weeks to meet the health requirements sometimes demanded by protectionist countries. This ensures that your Malamute has had the greatest opportunity to interact with and learn from other puppies and adult dogs, but also that there is no pause in his social development during the formative weeks that are the most important in his life. Your puppy is ready to discover the world and new people.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The importance of socialization cannot be stressed enough, because the more you avoid other dogs or social situations, the less sociable your Malamute will become.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Start training your puppy to respond to simple commands such as sit, stay, down, heel, etc. as soon as possible.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Training is much easier with a young puppy than with an adolescent dog.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Always make your training fun, and use plenty of treats (even if it&rsquo;s just his kibble) to encourage and reward good behavior. Then replace the treats with lots of praise and petting if he asks for it.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your Malamute has a low boredom threshold and won&rsquo;t appreciate repeating the same tasks over and over again. They&rsquo;ll just pick up. Therefore, vary your training and the things you teach her, but never leave the workouts on a negative note.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Always end with a play session, so that your Malamute is eager to learn new things. Even if your dog has finished growing (between 18 months and 2 years), it&rsquo;ll take a few years before he&rsquo;s truly adult and \u00ab\u00a0finished\u00a0\u00bb.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a puppy, he won&rsquo;t need much exercise. Running around the garden and short walks, as in puppy school, will be sufficient until he&rsquo;s 6 months old. It&rsquo;s very easy, especially with large breeds, for young dogs to get tired or injured, as they lack the muscle tone and control of an older dog.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From the age of 6 months, exercise can be gradually increased, but don&rsquo;t overdo it.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For walks, a little longer with the family at weekends, a 4-5 month-old puppy can go out for 3 to 4 km. As with all things, common sense and observation come first.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Malamutes have endless strength and energy as adults. They need exercise. They love to be active, and you&rsquo;ll enjoy many activities with them, such as hiking, sledding, canicross, canitrotinette, swimming, agility and more.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They need to expend themselves mentally and physically, and can become destructive if bored.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h1><b>Grooming<\/b><\/h1><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">*<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Malamutes need regular maintenance. They shed slightly all year round, and moult twice a year. <\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With females, this normally coincides with their heat; neutered bitches tend to keep a better coat and don&rsquo;t shed as drastically as normal, but develop a big shed every year anyway. <\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Males adapt their coat to the seasons and tend to shed in spring and just before winter. If they are not brushed properly and regularly (2 times a week should be enough), their undercoat will become matted and hard, which can be uncomfortable for them.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When they moult, their thick, oily undercoat almost completely disappears. So your Malamute will need more regular brushing to get rid of unwanted hair. If you let the undercoat come out on its own, it will spread over a longer period. So it&rsquo;s best to try and get it out over a few serious grooming sessions.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If your Malamute walks on hard surfaces, its pads will harden and its nails will wear, so it shouldn&rsquo;t be necessary to trim its nails, except for the dewclaw, which should be trimmed under supervision every two months. If he&rsquo;s on soft ground, you&rsquo;ll need to trim his nails fairly regularly. It&rsquo;s worth investing in good nail clippers and getting them used to cutting them at a young age.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h1><b>The food<\/b><\/h1><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your puppy has been fed ROYAL CANIN MAXI PUPPY ACTIVE dry complete food twice a day &#8211; the MEDIUM PUPPY product is also suitable. Since the food is a complete diet, your puppy won&rsquo;t need any supplements to maintain healthy growth of bones, teeth and coat. One of the most common ways a Malamute tries to challenge you is with his food!!!!<\/b><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Malamutes generally have a very good appetite, but it&rsquo;s quite common for a young dog, after eating a diet for a while, to refuse to eat or touch it as if he didn&rsquo;t like it. Don&rsquo;t be surprised.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If your Malamute seems healthy and active, not lethargic or wobbly, don&rsquo;t be tempted to change or add to its food.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A healthy dog doesn&rsquo;t starve itself, and if your dog is fussy and you change its diet too often, or add fresh food too often, you&rsquo;ll end up with a dog that&rsquo;s <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">very<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> difficult. We never add extra food to our puppies, as this creates fussy dogs. <\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your puppy food bag contains a rough guide to feeding requirements. C\u2019est une race qui pr\u00e9sente quelques challenges, surtout dans leur jeune \u00e2ge\u00a0!<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pour comprendre et g\u00e9rer le comportement de votre chiot, vous devez d\u2019abord comprendre les origines et la nature de la race.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00c9lev\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019origine par des tribus inuites am\u00e9rindiennes du Nord-Ouest de l\u2019Alaska (les Mahlemuts), le Malamute a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 par la s\u00e9lection des chiens les plus forts, afin de produire une race de chien puissante et robuste, capable de survivre et de travailler dans un environnement extr\u00eamement difficile.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ces premiers Malamutes \u00e9taient utilis\u00e9s pour chasser et pour tirer des charges extr\u00eamement lourdes sur de longues distances \u00e0 travers une nature recouverte de neige et de glace. \u00c0 ce titre, ils ont besoin des attributs physiques et mentaux que ces t\u00e2ches requi\u00e8rent.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Les tribus inuites avaient une tr\u00e8s grande consid\u00e9ration pour ces chiens et comptaient totalement sur leur capacit\u00e9 de travail. Il n\u2019y avait pas de place pour les chiens faibles ou malades (qui auraient \u00e9t\u00e9 tu\u00e9s par le reste de la meute), donc seuls les chiens les plus robustes ont surv\u00e9cu.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Le Malamute, en tant que race, a perdur\u00e9 gr\u00e2ce aux efforts de quelques personnes d\u00e9vou\u00e9es, qui sont tomb\u00e9es amoureuses de ces merveilleux chiens et se sont efforc\u00e9es de prot\u00e9ger et de conserver ces caract\u00e9ristiques qui les rendent uniques. Le standard a ensuite \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 et les Malamutes de l\u2019Alaska ont \u00e9t\u00e9 reconnus et enregistr\u00e9s comme race par l\u2019American Kennel Club en 1935.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Le Malamute, de nos jours, a encore les caract\u00e9ristiques de ses anc\u00eatres. C\u2019est un chien tr\u00e8s orient\u00e9 sur les interactions de groupe ou meute, avec un grand instinct de survie et de chasse, ainsi qu\u2019un caract\u00e8re ind\u00e9pendant, dominant et parfois volontaire. Ils sont extr\u00eamement intelligents et ont une force et une endurance incroyable. Ils sont \u00e9galement capables d\u2019une loyaut\u00e9 et d\u2019affection sans limite envers leurs ma\u00eetres.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h1><b>Quand votre chiot arrive \u00e0 la maison<\/b><\/h1><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">*Quand votre chiot rejoint sa famille, le stress d\u2019arriver dans un nouvel endroit peut lui causer une petite diarrh\u00e9e. Si c\u2019est le cas, r\u00e9duisez les quantit\u00e9s de croquettes de moiti\u00e9 et tentez d\u2019ajouter un peu de poulet ou de poisson avec une cuill\u00e8re \u00e0 soupe de riz bien cuit pendant quelques jours. Ensuite progressivement, introduisez-le \u00e0 nouveau \u00e0 son r\u00e9gime initial. Si la diarrh\u00e9e persiste plus que quelques jours, ou que votre chiot ne semble pas bien du tout, consultez votre v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaire.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">*Nous recommandons fortement de pr\u00e9parer un espace bien \u00e0 lui d\u00e8s que possible lorsque vous le ramenez \u00e0 la maison (tapis, panier, niche\u2026). Certains \u00e9leveurs conseillent d\u2019installer une cage (vari-kennel, en tissu, en m\u00e9tal\u2026) dans la maison\u00a0: ce n\u2019est pas notre cas sauf si celle-ci reste OUVERTE. Cela peut lui permettre de se sentir en s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et lui offre un endroit de tranquillit\u00e9. Ce sera aussi une occasion de prendre l\u2019habitude de cet objet utile pour le transport par exemple.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Le meilleur moyen d\u2019habituer votre chiot \u00e0 son espace est d\u2019\u00eatre s\u00fbr que vous y avez mis un coussin ou une couverture, des jouets, une gamelle d\u2019eau et quelques friandises \u00e0 proximit\u00e9, et d\u2019y jouer avec eux pour rendre l\u2019endroit plus amusant.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">S\u2019il s\u2019agit d\u2019une cage, lorsque vous avez termin\u00e9 de jouer avec lui, s\u2019il d\u00e9cide de rester dedans, partez mais laissez la porte ouverte afin qu\u2019il en sorte librement. La chose la plus importante est de toujours la rendre un endroit tr\u00e8s plaisant, et de ne JAMAIS l\u2019utiliser comme une forme de punition ou de limitation de son espace pour des questions \u00ab\u00a0pratiques\u00a0\u00bb.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Laissez-le s\u2019installer un peu, se promener et s\u2019habituer aux nouvelles odeurs etc.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Apr\u00e8s qu\u2019il ait dormi s\u2019il est \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur, d\u00e8s qu\u2019il se r\u00e9veille, mettez-le directement dehors dans l\u2019herbe pour qu\u2019il puisse faire ses besoins. Quand il aura termin\u00e9, f\u00e9licitez-le et donnez-lui une friandise.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><b>Assurez-vous de toujours f\u00e9liciter et encourager tout bon comportement oralement de pr\u00e9f\u00e9rence ou avec une friandise, plut\u00f4t que de simplement r\u00e9primander un mauvais comportement. N\u2019oubliez pas que votre chiot ne conna\u00eet que les r\u00e8gles que vous lui enseignez. Il n\u2019est pas n\u00e9 avec un guide int\u00e9gr\u00e9 des attentes et r\u00e8gles humaines !<\/b><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">*<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Votre chiot va probablement hurler quand vous irez au lit apr\u00e8s les premi\u00e8res nuits lors de son arriv\u00e9e. Ne soyez pas tent\u00e9 de c\u00e9der et de le r\u00e9conforter. Son hurlement est juste un moyen de manifester son m\u00e9contentement d\u2019\u00eatre laiss\u00e9 de c\u00f4t\u00e9. R\u00e9confortez-vous dans l\u2019id\u00e9e que si vous l\u2019avez bien install\u00e9, qu\u2019il a de l\u2019eau, un coussin chaud, des jouets et est \u00e9galement en s\u00e9curit\u00e9. Laissez-le pleurer, et apr\u00e8s quelques jours il sera heureux de dormir paisiblement dans son espace.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h1><b>Vermifuge<\/b><\/h1><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><b>Votre chiot devra \u00eatre vermifug\u00e9 r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 vermifug\u00e9 \u00e0 2 semaines d\u2019intervalle \u00e0 partir de l\u2019\u00e2ge de 3 semaines avec du Strongid, du Drontal Pup et du Milbactor . Vous devez continuer le protocole tous les mois jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ses 6 mois.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tout vermifuge tue les vers qui sont \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur du chiot au moment o\u00f9 il prend le traitement, donc, apr\u00e8s cela, son vermifuge se d\u00e9roule tous les 3 \u00e0 6 mois. Il est important d\u2019utiliser un vermifuge de bonne qualit\u00e9 venant de votre v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaire, ils sont plus efficaces.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Il n\u2019est pas rare de voir des vers dans les selles, mais ils sont cens\u00e9s \u00eatre morts. Une forte infestation de vers qui n\u2019est pas trait\u00e9e chez les jeunes chiots peut entra\u00eener une maladie grave et, dans des cas extr\u00eames, le d\u00e9c\u00e8s. Nous vermifugeons nos chiens adultes alternativement avec du Milbactor et des tablettes de Drontal Plus.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Si vous vivez dans un environnement avec des pigeons ou de la volaille, demandez conseil \u00e0 votre v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaire pour vermifuger aussi contre les coccidies (coccidiose).<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h1><b>Vivre avec votre Malamute<\/b><\/h1><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">*<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Comme pr\u00e9cis\u00e9 pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment, les Malamutes sont des chiens de meute m\u00eame si certains jouent sur les mots et le contestent. C\u2019est qu\u2019ils n\u2019ont simplement pas eu la chance comme nous de pouvoir observer depuis plus de 30 ans les interactions de nos groupes de malamutes. Votre famille et vous devez maintenant devenir la \u00ab\u00a0meute\u00a0\u00bb de votre Malamute. Leur position dans votre groupe familial est pour eux, tr\u00e8s tr\u00e8s importante. Une grande partie des probl\u00e8mes que les nouveaux propri\u00e9taires rencontrent avec leur Malamute se d\u00e9veloppent parce qu\u2019ils n\u2019ont pas \u00e9tabli de directives claires avec leur nouveau chiot\u00a0: il faut indiquer clairement ce qu\u2019est un comportement attendu et un comportement non acceptable.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Un Malamute respecte les directives et se contentera de conna\u00eetre sa position. Mais si vous \u00e9chouez \u00e0 \u00e9tablir cette organisation, votre Malamute le fera pour vous ! Ils perdent l\u00e9g\u00e8rement leurs poils toute l\u2019ann\u00e9e, et font une mue 2 fois par an.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Avec les femelles, cela co\u00efncide normalement avec leurs chaleurs ; les chiennes castr\u00e9es ont tendance \u00e0 garder un meilleur pelage et n\u2019ont pas tendance \u00e0 perdre aussi radicalement leurs poils que la normale, mais d\u00e9veloppent une grosse mue chaque ann\u00e9e quand m\u00eame.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Les m\u00e2les adaptent leur pelage en fonction des saisons et ont tendance \u00e0 perdre leurs poils au printemps et juste avant l\u2019hiver. Ainsi, votre Malamute aura besoin d\u2019un brossage plus r\u00e9gulier pour se d\u00e9barrasser des poils ind\u00e9sirables. Si vous laissez le sous-poil sortir tout seul, cela s\u2019\u00e9tendra sur une p\u00e9riode plus longue.
